Frida, 21: Here at IMS, our curriculum is demanding, but it offers a diverse and comprehensive medical education. Our classes are a mix of theoretical lectures and practical sessions, which really helps in understanding complex medical concepts. The faculty is experienced and very supportive, and we have students from all around the world, making the learning environment truly international. The workload is heavy, with regular assignments, lab work, and exams, but it's manageable with good time management and dedication.

Living cost in Milano
Frida: It's a bit expensive, but manageable for students. As a student from Brazil, I had to adjust to the higher living costs here. Groceries and eating out can be costly, but there are student discounts available at many places. Transportation is affordable, especially with student passes. Entertainment and social activities can add to the expenses, but there are plenty of free or low-cost events and attractions around the city. It's important to budget wisely and maybe find a part-time job to ease the financial burden.
Financial Support
IMS offers scholarships and tuition fee exemptions to international students as part of its internationalization strategy. These include "Excellence Scholarships" for new Master’s degree students and scholarships under the UNHCR inclusive education program for refugees. Additionally, the University participates in the "Educational corridor - Monastery of Mar Musa" initiative, providing scholarships to Syrian students.
Accommodation at International Medical School (IMS)
IMS provides accommodation options for its students through halls of residence situated close to the university. Accommodations are assigned annually via an application process. These residences cater to short-term stays as well, and guestrooms are available for students engaged in educational and research activities. Students can also explore private boarding schools and public organization options for accommodation.
Frida: Living in Milan as a student, I've found a range of housing options. Many students choose university dorms for convenience and to be close to the campus, but I prefer renting an apartment with classmates in the city. Milan offers diverse neighborhoods, each with its own charm. The cost can vary depending on the area, but generally, sharing an apartment helps in splitting expenses. The public transportation system is efficient, making commuting from different parts of the city quite easy.
