Spanning 6 years, the dental curriculum is entirely in English. Siena's dental program emphasizes creating well-rounded dentists with a strong foundation in ethics, competence, and hands-on clinical experience. While it covers a spectrum of dental medical subjects, it's bolstered by foundational courses in basic science and general medicine. To supplement lecture-based learning, multiple internships are integral to the curriculum, ensuring students can apply theoretical knowledge practically. The Dentistry course at the University of Siena adheres to guidelines set by both the ADEE (Association for European Dental Education) and the Italian Ministry of Education. In their final year, students get hands-on experience daily, familiarizing themselves with the latest in digital dentistry and state-of-the-art dental materials.

Tuition fees at the University of Siena are determined based on the student's family income and assets for the year.

Admission to the English-speaking Medical School in Siena is through the International Medical Admissions Test– IMAT, a 60 multiple-choice test in

The IMAT exams are held every year in September. The IMAT can not be sat online but onsite in a test center.

The medical program is demanding, but the city's historical charm provides a serene backdrop to the intense studying. I often find myself relaxing in the quaint cafes, enjoying a cup of espresso while going over my notes.’

Marc, 23: ‘I've made friends with students from all around the world. We often come together to study, share meals, and explore the city. Our favorite spot is Piazza del Campo. The international student community is good and makes the academic journey less stressful. The language barrier was a challenge initially🙂. However, I've been taking Italian classes, and I'm getting better at it. Communicating with locals and understanding the lectures is becoming easier. The weekends are for exploring. Siena is surrounded by beautiful Tuscan towns and vineyards, which provide a perfect escape from the rigorous academic routine. I find the balance between academia, social interactions, and cultural explorations to be just perfect here in Siena. It's an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.’
